PRIMA PAPER SERVICES

We understand Paper Recycling better than most Companies, in fact we are the oldest paper recycling Company in Kent. Despite structural decline in the industry Prima has continued to increase the volume of printer waste is processes.

QUALITY

We understand that service is paramount. We appreciate that with our knowledge and reliability we can add value to your business. Investing in the equipment that we offer our customers is important and having an up to date transport fleet is essential.

COMPANY HISTORY

Prima was founded in 1990 and we remain a leader in the field of recycling. We started operating from a farm in Lenham and then quickly moved to Marley Farm near the Smarden Airfield. We purchased our existing 3 acre site in Ashford in 1995. Back in the 1960s the local council used to sort out the clinker from household waste that was generated from the coal fires that householders used to have to keep warm on our site. Today the nature of waste has changed considerable and we are proud to recycle not just paper but plastics and wood as well.

Prima originally targeted paper converters for their waste paper. Since we started out the printing industry has shrunk by around 70%. Local printing names such as Headley Brothers and Gross Monti have all but past away however there are a few print companies still trading – Geerings Print Ltd is a good example!

Prima has clearly diversified and services not just the paper converter but the printers, print finishers, archive and shredding Companies, box makers and many other businesses!
